What Usewright is.

A tool for building judgment about generative AI. People plan how they will use AI on a task, reflect on what they did, explain their work without AI, and receive coaching. It is not a detector, a grading tool, or a proctoring tool.

The safe-reflection commitment.

Anyone who creates a course, team, or research space agrees to this: "I will use this space for learning. Entries will not be used as evidence in academic integrity cases. I will look only at the group patterns Usewright shows me, and in research supervision, only at the entries a researcher chooses to share." Usewright's design supports the commitment: course and team leads cannot open individual entries, and patterns are hidden until enough people respond (10 in a course, 4 in a team).

Entries are self-reports.

What people record is their own account. Usewright does not verify it, and it should not be treated as proof of what someone did or did not do. Supervisor confirmations record a conversation, not a verdict on misconduct.

Coaching has limits.

Coaching comments on a decision about AI use and asks questions to help you explain your work. It never writes, solves, or answers for you. It does not judge the quality of the work, and it can be wrong. Use it as a prompt for thinking, not as an instruction.

Requests for individual entries.

Usewright does not give individual entries to instructors, supervisors, or institutions, except entries a researcher chooses to share, or where the law requires it. You can delete any of your entries at any time.

Who can use Usewright.

Usewright is not intended for children under 13. Learners under 18 should use it through their school or program.

Your responsibilities.

Follow the AI policy your instructor, team, or institution sets. Usewright helps you think about that policy; it does not replace it. Keep your sign-in link private.

Test version.

Usewright is an early version offered for testing. It may change, and data may be reset during testing. Do not use it for official course records or research data until your institution has approved it.
